Saira was born and raised on the East Coast. She is a 2022 Periplus Fellow, a 2022 Tin House summer workshop scholar, and earned her MFA in Prose at the University of Michigan’s Helen Zell Writers Program. Saira’s lived in the US, Chile, and Spain. As a child, she wanted to grow up to be a Sailor Scout.

Saira is working on her first novel.
